One of the great things about The Ranch is that we proudly feature lots of other small town vendors. Katie Laitkep, is a working mom from Wharton County that many folks know and love – but may not realize she is a super talented leather worker. And, we are proud to feature her designs in our store.
As a busy working mom, Katie kept noticing her purses, wallets, and bags didn’t last. She wanted a product that could withstand the busy demands of her lifestyle but still look good and be affordable.
So, in 2018, she bought some very basic supplies, and got to work. She started with a keychain, which she still uses today. Today, her brand includes purses, bags, document holders and more. She creates leather projects that are simple, functional, durable and stylish. Every cut, stamp, and stitch is done by hand.
